ABOUT
Hi, I'm Laura, a seasoned social worker and therapist with over 23 years of experience. My role as your therapist is to guide you on a transformative healing journey, providing encouragement, support, and valuable tools along the way. In my experience, the fastest path to peace and fulfillment involves learning to connect within yourself—your body, emotions, and mind. Cultivating a deeper connection within yourself facilitates the healing of past issues and empowers you to move forward with confidence in making decisions and achieving your goals. Collaboratively, we'll identify and address the obstacles that may be holding you back and practice new ways to enhance your well-being and feel better.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Master of Social Work with a specialization in Health and Mental Health from the University of Toronto. I'm also trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-centered approach renowned for addressing somatic symptoms resulting from unresolved trauma.

My specialties include working with:
Anxiety and depression
Trauma and addiction
Challenging family dynamics and personal relationships
Communication and conflict-management skills
Recovering from betrayal or trust issues
Confidence/self-confidence and body image concerns
Identifying needs and setting boundaries
Lifestyle changes, such as improving sleep, diet, and exercise
Perfectionism
Navigating the dating world
Achieving work/life balance
Coping with life transitions, such as school, career changes, moving, or parenting

Together, we'll create a personalized treatment plan designed to target your specific symptoms and align with your goals. Let's focus on you and talk—schedule a complimentary consultation to start your unique journey toward healing and personal growth.
