ABOUT
Welcome! I'm Joel, a passionate and dedicated Social Worker and Psychotherapist committed to fostering relationships built on trust, warmth, and acceptance. With a focus on the LGBTQ+ community, neurodiversity, and anti-oppression, I strive to create a therapeutic environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

As a queer-affirming therapist, I understand the nuanced experiences and complexities of gender and sexual diversity. I am dedicated to providing affirmative care that addresses the unique needs and concerns of LGBTQ+ individuals. Whether you are struggling with coming out, navigating relationships, or seeking support for mental health concerns specific to your queer identity, I am here to provide a compassionate space for exploration and healing.

Neurodiversity is another core aspect of my practice. I recognize and celebrate the diverse ways in which our brains are wired. I specialise in working with individuals who are neurodivergent, such as those with ADHD. I believe in embracing neurodiversity as a valuable aspect of human diversity, and I am dedicated to helping my clients harness their strengths, develop coping strategies, and thrive in a world that may not always understand or accommodate their unique perspectives.

I bring warmth, empathy, and genuine curiosity to every session, ensuring that you feel heard, validated, and understood. I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet your individual needs, drawing from a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) mindfulness practices, relational approaches and more.

I invite you to take the courageous step toward your own growth and self-discovery. It would be an honour to accompany you on your journey toward personal transformation and empowerment.
I look forward to connecting with you.
