ABOUT

Hello! I am a warm and empathetic therapist who will work with you to help you understand yourself better and recognize and resolve problem areas with which you struggle.  I provide a safe and non-judgmental space in which you can explore and unveil factors that may be holding you back. I work with clients who struggle with anxiety and depression which can often be a result of unresolved past trauma, relationship and/or work stress and self esteem issues.  
Are you a highly achieving individual who struggles with self esteem and confidence? Does this affect your work performance, interpersonal relationships and ultimately takes away from your ability to enjoy life?  If so, we will work together to help you understand yourself on a deeper level, change unhelpful thinking patterns, identify strengths, build coping skills and move towards professional and personal success.     

I have over 10 years of experience of working at Mount Sinai Hospital in the area of perinatal mental health and I can support you in coping with infertility, grief, and mood challenges in the pregnancy and in the postpartum period. I understand that becoming a parent while beautiful can often be fraught with difficulty, stress and mixed feelings. Together we can make sense of your unique experience and help you feel like the best version of yourself again. 

I help couples navigate various life stressors and challenges including becoming a parent, improving communication, setting boundaries with extended family as well as infidelity and breach of trust.  
My passion is to help individuals and couples free themselves of emotional distress and lead an authentic and meaningful life utilizing their full potential.

I have a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto. I am committed to staying current in leading therapy practices and have attended a variety of post graduate training courses.  In my work I employ a range of evidence based approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. My practice is trauma and attachment informed. I believe that for people to benefit from therapy they have to feel that their therapist is the right fit.
