ABOUT

I am a social worker with 14 years of clinical experience in counselling, case management and excellent system- navigation skills. She is trained in many counselling/ therapy models. Some of the approaches that she prefers include: relational-cultural theory, narrative approaches to counselling and motivational interviewing styles, cognitive-behavioral theory and mindfulness. I have specialized training in grief counselling and pain management with a deeply trauma informed practice. I also have a strong backgrounds in Disability Studies, and I am an activist in the Disability and mental health communities. I am currently studying health equity and the social determinants of health as it impacts disability communities using an intersectionality lens.
