ABOUT
Hi! I am Tamar. I have a Master’s of Social Work degree from McGill University and am a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist. I have experience providing a range of clinical services, including individual and group psychotherapy, as well as family therapy to children, adolescents and their families. I draw on several therapeutic approaches in my practice such as Family Systems Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I am passionate about working with children, adolescents and their families. I prioritize using a collaborative non-judgmental approach to create a supportive environment where each member can feel respected, heard and understood. I work alongside each member of the family to explore negative patterns of interacting as well as strategies to be implemented with the goal of strengthening connections and creating a more cohesive family unit.
