ABOUT
Olivia blends her extensive background in cardiac nursing with her passion for naturopathic medicine to empower women in optimizing their heart and hormonal health, particularly during the menopausal transition. Over the past 21 years, Olivia has gained invaluable experience in general cardiology, cardiac critical care, and cardiac recovery. Witnessing the impact of cardiovascular issues on women inspired her to pursue naturopathic medicine, offering comprehensive care that addresses women’s unique risks and inequalities in heart health care.
Outside of her clinical practice, Olivia is dedicated to education and advocacy, raising awareness about integrative approaches to women's cardiac and hormonal health through workshops, lectures, articles, and podcasts. She is committed to ensuring every woman she works with is supported, informed, and empowered to advocate for her own health. Believing in the importance of a collaborative patient-practitioner relationship, she fosters open communication and shared decision-making to achieve the best outcomes. Olivia brings a unique perspective to her practice, merging conventional medical knowledge with natural approaches to support women’s perimenopausal, post-menopausal and cardiac health. Outside of work, Olivia loves spending time with friends and family, and will often be found in nature, hiking, biking, and camping. She also volunteers with Dog Tales Dog Rescue and Animal Sanctuary and the Resilience in Stressful Events (R.I.S.E.) Peer Responder Team at Southlake Regional Health Centre |
